हिंदी: प्रत्येक वर्ष 26 जून को पूरे विश्व में अंतर्राष्ट्रीय नशा निरोधक दिवस मनाया जाता है। यह दिवस नशीली चीजों और पदार्थों के दुरुपयोग तथा उनके अवैध व्यापार के खिलाफ जागरूकता फैलाने के उद्देश्य से मनाया जाता है।

English: Every year on June 26, the International Day Against Drug Abuse and Illicit Trafficking is observed worldwide. This day aims to raise awareness about the dangers of drug abuse and the need to combat the illicit trafficking of narcotic substances.

इतिहास और महत्व / History and Significance

हिंदी: संयुक्त राष्ट्र महासभा ने 7 दिसम्बर, 1987 को अपने एक प्रस्ताव के माध्यम से इस दिवस को मनाने का निर्णय लिया था। इसका मुख्य उद्देश्य लोगों को नशे की बुरी आदत से छुटकारा दिलाना और उन्हें नशे से होने वाले दुष्प्रभावों से बचाना है।

English: The United Nations General Assembly adopted a resolution on December 7, 1987, to celebrate this day annually. Its main objective is to help people overcome the harmful habit of drug abuse and to protect them from its negative effects.

नशे के दुष्प्रभाव / Effects of Drug Abuse

हिंदी: नशीली चीजों का सेवन व्यक्ति के शारीरिक, मानसिक और सामाजिक स्वास्थ्य पर बुरा असर डालता है। इसकी वजह से व्यक्ति की कार्यक्षमता, सोचने-समझने की शक्ति और सामाजिक संबंध प्रभावित होते हैं। नशे की आदत से आर्थिक नुकसान, परिवार में तनाव, अपराध और अन्य गंभीर समस्याएं भी उत्पन्न होती हैं।

हिंदी: नशा निरोधक दिवस के अवसर पर स्कूलों, कॉलेजों, सामाजिक संस्थाओं और सरकारी विभागों द्वारा जागरूकता कार्यक्रम, रैलियाँ, सेमिनार और वर्कशॉप आयोजित की जाती हैं। इन कार्यक्रमों का उद्देश्य युवाओं और समाज के सभी वर्गों को नशे के खतरों के प्रति सचेत करना है।

English: On this occasion, schools, colleges, social organizations, and government departments organize awareness programs, rallies, seminars, and workshops. These initiatives aim to alert all sections of society, especially youth, about the dangers of drug abuse.
